Bulan Kebizian Telah Berakhir .......Meh Makan Cake :)

ASSALAMMUALAIKUM,
Rasa lamanya tak jenguk cni...masa yang amat-amat ketat...fuhhhh....Nak kata tak masak......masak cuma main campak-campak ja....^_^.Dah lama mengidam nak buat kek ni.....akhirnya kek ni yang dah lama diperam resepinya jadik juga kek.Ok jugak rasa dia macam kek carrot yang len,cuma penambahan choco powder dan orange zest saja yang nampak kelainannya.Moist tetap moist walaupun simpan dalam peti ais.Oklah sudi-sudilah mencuba tak rugi.... :)




CHOCOLATE ORANGE CARROT CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Cake Batter
375ml palm oil or red palm oil(leia guna canola jew)
4 large eggs
300g plain flour, sifted
280g caster sugar
25g unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
450g finely shredded carrot
70g walnuts, toasted and chopped coarsely
Zest from 1 orange

Frosting
500g cream cheese, at room temperature
120g salted butter, at room temperature
120g icing sugar
Zest from 2 oranges

Decoration
100g chocolate, grated(tak letak pun)

To prepare cake:Line two 23x23 cm cake pans with baking paper. Preheat oven to 180C. Using an electric mixer, beat the oil and eggs in a large bowl until mixture is thick and well incorporated, about 2 minutes.
  Add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed to blend. Increase speed and beat for 1 minute longer; at this point, the batter will be very thick. Stir in the carrot, walnuts and orange zest.
  Divide batteer between prepared pans. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into centre comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool.

To prepare frosting: Beat creeam cheese, butter and icing sugar in a bowl until fluffy. Whisk in the orange zest.

To assemble cake: Place 1 cake layer on a serving platter. Spread with a layer of frosting. Top with the second cake layer. Spread remaining frosting over top and sides of cake. Use a plastic fork to create a pattern of lines around the sides of the cake. Decorate with grated chocolate and chill before serving.(leia guna spatula kecik ja pastu tarik tarik keatas bagi nampak macam...apa nak panggil pun tak tau :P) Pis Yo!
